Have you seen all of the amazing things happening over at Simple Life Patterns the last few weeks?

Simple Life Patterns just celebrated 2 years of designing beautiful baby and girl’s patterns and released 10 new patterns during the big anniversary sale.  They have also expanded by adding a new doll line featuring some of the most popular Simple Life patterns.  Now your little lady can have matching Dolly and Me outfits.

One of these new releases is a new dress that I know is going to be everyone’s favorite!!

Meet Jaimesyn!!  This sweet top/dress features a single or double flutter sewn into the bodice, simple pleated pockets, and a pleated hem skirt.  Choose from 2 back options, V-back or a more modest full closure back, and four sleeve lengths.

This advanced beginner pattern is written for sizes 2t – 12 and includes a measurement chart in the pattern for selecting the perfect size!

It is already well into the 70’s here, which means it’s only going to get hotter so I made the tank version and omitted the flutters for a simple look I knew my 5 year old would adore.  I love how many different options this pattern has.  It is a pattern that you can take into any season of the year and always look stylish.

One of my favorite things about this pattern is the ability to showcase many fabrics at once.  I instantly fell in love with Bonnie Christine’s Wonderful Things fabric line for Art Gallery Fabrics.  The pastel colors of this line are so sweet, so feminine.

For the bodice, I used Joy Crossroads and lined it with the Daydreams Sigh.   The skirt is Aquarelle Study Wash and the pockets are also Daydreams Sigh.  I added these wooden buttons at the pleat for some extra detail.

We found this swing one day on a walk in our neighborhood and I have loved using it for photoshoots.  Another photographer recently told me about a tree house in the same area and of course we had to check it out.  The tree house was a little too high for my daughter’s comfort so we opted for photos by the trunk instead.

The dress is really cute and look at those pockets! Both my daughter and I love a dress with good pockets. 😉
