Pediatric Cancer Tour Wrap Up

I’m back today as we wrap up the tour and begin our much anticipated auction tomorrow, October 27th.  Please, if you haven’t already done so, join our Facebook group.  We have so many great items up for auction.  We set a goal of donating $500 to the American Childhood Cancer Organization and with the help of our bloggers, who have done an amazing job spreading the word, and YOUR help I believe we can reach that goal!!

Here are a few of the items I’ve made of the auction.  We have so many more posted on our page.

accoThis past week has stirred up many memories for me and this auction couldn’t have come at a better time.

Remember my cousin I mentioned in the last post?  He was diagnosed with DIPG, a form of brain cancer, at four years old.  He fought a hard battle for three months.  I only met him once but he was such a sweet, loving boy and that spirit lives on with all of us.  When my cousins lost their son I wasn’t sure how to help being that we lived so far away from but when Shawna came to me with this idea, I knew instantly I could honor my cousin by helping her cause.

I’d want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart who has helped support us in reaching this goal.  It may not seem like much  but a cure starts with awareness and I hope if nothing more, we have spread the awareness of this disease so no family has to loss a child.
