Today is the release of The Gypsy dress by Designer Stitch. This was my first time testing for Ann, the designer of Designer Stitch, and it was such a delight. Ann is on point with her amazing designs and on trend patterns.
This pattern, like all Designer Stitch patterns, is drafted with professional CAD software. Her instructions are straight forward and easy to follow, leaving you with a beautiful garment as your end result. Her patterns come complete with multi size measurement chart and print at home and AO Copy Shop pattern pieces for your personal preference.
The Gypsy can be made into a top, tunic, high/low tulip or maxi with side slits. There are also two necklines to choose from, the cross-over v-neck or a more modest round neck.
When I saw the tester call, I immediately had a vision I could not get out of my head.
For my Gypsy, I chose the rounded neck with a high/low tulip skirt. I used this beautiful plum sateen bed sheet my sister in law mailed me from Spain. When she first sent the sheets, my intentions were to use them as muslin but the color was so rich and beautiful it had to be seen.
I sewed a 2 for the bodice and blended to a 3 for the waist. I normally need to add a few inches for my height but I was very happy with where the length of the skirt fell so I left it alone.
I am absolutely in love with how this Gypsy turned out, everything I had envisioned.
The pattern is available now for the sale price of $8.00 using coupon code PDFLOVE30. You can find the Gypsy dress pattern here.
